Sportradar: Senior Engineering Manager

Buscamos Our Sports Media Team is looking for a hands-on Engineering Leader with both technical skills and leadership skills, to work side-by-side with our talented, innovative teams in the USA as a founding engineer in our existing Montevideo office. You will work hands-on with existing cutting-edge technology, products, and people, and you will also play a critical role in helping recruit, grow, and lead a new local team in this location.We are looking for a highly skilled individual who takes pride in problem-solving, strives for simplicity, has a desire to work with cloud-native architecture, and has a proven track record of excelling within cross-functional teams of highly skilled peers.Beyond technical skills, communication (strong English is required) and personal skills are particularly important for this role. This early role provides a tremendous opportunity for growth as we grow this team over the next several years. You will need 7+ years of experience in professional software development, designing and building and 4+ years of of proven experience in a leadership role, building and managing teams of talented engineers. Also, this role requires experience working with data-driven architecture and systems design (RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, GraphQL experience is a plus!) and in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) model, including GitLab/GitHub and CI pipeline automation tolos. You will need demonstrated understanding and implementation of software design principles such as SOLID, experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) working in Agile environments, and proficiency utilizing SQL, NoSQL, In-memory stores at scale.The Primary Stack:- JavaScript, TypeScript- Node.js - PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Document/MongoDB, AuroraDB - Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, Event Bridge - AWS: EKS, ECS, Lambdas, Step Functions - React, SPAs - GraphQL Note: The technical stack may vary depending on specific team or systems, but these are the primary technologies.
