Impala Terminals Group facilitates the global trade of commodities by offering producers and consumers reliable and efficient access to international markets. The company manages two global businesses - Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the world’s largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors. ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service. **Description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Primary responsibility is the determination lamp; clear articulation of functional team requirements for the Impala business.
  • Close engagement with the functional architecture lamp; business process reengineering teams to agree on a logical design of the solution, including screen design lamp; usability to optimize functional team processes
  • Quality assurance of any technical requirements produced by off-shore teams against functional team requirements produced through functional team engagements
  • Key point of functional escalation for technical and QA teams during requirement development lamp; testing
  • Provide system training to end users as well as support end users during UAT execution.
  • Responding to user queries in a timely manner and providing advice on the use of the systems.
  • Identify and fully document processes used to resolve recurring issues. **Requirements
  • Proven ability to act as a bridge between the functional team and highly technical developers located in remote offices, translating business concepts into requirements that are implementable
  • It’s expected to be able to think out of the box and provide innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrable ability to drive functional team process changes - challenging current functional team practices, working with key functional team process personnel
  • Experience of a variety of software development methodologies is a plus (e.g. agile methodologies, continuous integration, iterative development)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • It’s a plus to have experience of requirements analysis in a warehousing and logistics environment.
